February 5: G9 grade coal (GCV ranging between 4,601-4,900 Kcal/kg) offered on the coaljunction e-auction platform in January 2015 met with poor demand as out of the entire offered quantity of 75,300 tons of coal, 26,400 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,483/ton.
This grade offered in December 2014 met with poor demand as out of the entire offered quantity of 20,000 tons of coal, 3,500 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 1,572/ton.
However, G9 grade coal offered on this platform in November 2014 met with moderate demand as out of the entire offered quantity of 326,400 tons of coal, 263,840 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,418/ton.
