It was a mixed performance for power scrips on Tuesday after “red Monday”.
The S&P BSE Metal index decreased 3 points (0.17%) to close at 1,714.70 on February 9 from the previous closing of 1,717.70. The highs and lows on February 9 were 1,731.18 and 1,694.36 respectively.
Global markets such as CAC, DAX and FTSE as well as the Indian Sensex all closed in the red on Tuesday.
The Sensex decreased 266.44 points (1.14%) to close at 24,020.98.
Most of the power stocks closed in red. The highest growth was registered by Jayprakash Power, which rose 4.36% to Rs 5.98. The maximum loss was registered by CESC which lost 4.22% to close at Rs 428.
