May 8: International coal prices threw up a mixed trend on conflicting demand signals, sources informed ICMW.
Prices of South African steam coal of 6,000 Kcal/kg NAR edged down further, while the 5,500 Kcal/kg NAR variety gained by 70 cents. Australian 6,300 Kcal/kg GAR dipped a tad lower while the Indonesian categories showed no changes.
Hard coking coal (Australian), which has been in declining mode, also dipped further.
