RRVUNL had been given a target by Central Electricity Authority (CEA) to procure 0.50 million tons of coal in 2014-15, but its imports between April-February of 2014-15 itself had crossed 1.463 mt, according to information available with ICMW.
The power utility has specified to procure with GCV ranging between 6200-7000 Kcal/kg for its four power plants – Kota STPP, Suratgarh STPP and Chhabra TPP.
