October 7: A good demand was witnessed for the coal offered by Singareni Collieries Company Ltd (SCCL) for allotment through e-auction platform of coaljunction during the month of September, 2013.
During September, a total of 98,000 tons of coal were offered for allotment out of which 90,125 tons or 91.96% got allotted, attracting a low premium ranging from 1-37%. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,483 per ton.
However, in August 2013, a total of 82,700 tons of coal was offered for allotment out of which 67,871 tons or 82.07% got allotted attracting a low premium ranging from 0-31%. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,676 per ton.
On the other hand, in July 2013, a total of 100,000 tons of coal was offered for allotment out of which 88,789 tons or 88.79% got allotted attracting a low premium ranging from 0-29% and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,250/ton.
