SCCL’s coal off-take up 9.96% in FY’15

April 7: Singareni Collieries Company Ltd (SCCL) achieved total coal off-take of 52.66 million tons (mt) in 2014-15, about 9.96% higher than 47.89 mt reported for 2013-14, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

The FY’15 off-take, however, was lower than the current year’s target of 55.50 mt, the data showed.

In the month of March 2015, the company recorded total off-take of 5.24 mt, marginally higher than the target of 5.20 mt set for the month. It was also higher than 4.93 mt achieved during the same month last year.

The March performance was 6.3% higher than 4.928 mt achieved in the same month a year ago.

SCCL also achieved 54.3% increase in overburden (OB) removal in FY'15. OB removal in FY'15 stood at 262.82 million cubic metres (mcm), compared to 170.29 mcm achieved a year ago.
