SCCL’s coal production at 3.65 mt in July

August 8: Coal production from the 49 mines of Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) in July was at 3.65 million tons (mt), slightly below the June production level of 3.71 mt, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

In May 2014, the company had reported production of 3.72 mt, while in April 2014, this stood at 2.37 mt.

In July, production was lower than the monthly target of 3.91 mt.

During the first four months (April-July) of 2014-15, SCCL’s total coal production stood at 13.45 mt, about 17.85% lower than the target of 16.374 mt set for the period.

The annual production target of SCCL for 2014-15 stands at 55 mt. In 2013-14, SCCL’s production stood at 50.47 mt.
