Sept coking coal imports via Chennai rise sharply in Sept m-o-m

October 21: Coking coal imports via Chennai port were at 123 tons in September 2013 against 35 tons recorded in August 2013, according to provisional data available with ISMW.

In July, however, there were no imports of this commodity via Chennai port.

In September, the entire volumes arrived from the United Kingdom in a price range of Rs 30,011 – Rs 31,265 ($461-$484) per ton.

In August, too the entire consignment had arrived from the United Kingdom.
