Sharp fall in gypsum imports via Kandla Port in April

May 11: Imports of gypsum via the port of Kandla dropped sharply to a mere 5,000 tons in the month of April against a volume of 27,500 tons imported in March, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
In April 2014, imports of gypsum via Kandla stood at 60,100 tons.
Following are the monthly details of gypsum imports via the port during 2015-16 and 2014-15:

In April, the entire material came from Iran at a unit price of Rs 1,330($21).
In March too, the entire material came from Iran at a unit price of Rs 1,080 ($17) per ton.
