November 26: Taking a cue from the upbeat trend in online trading platforms, spot prices of South African coal surged sharply on November 26 even as there was not much of an increase in deals, market sources said.
Sellers are quoting higher prices even as buyers appear to be not too interested at current levels as they expect South African coal prices to soften a bit in the coming days, they said.
Meanwhile, Indonesian and South African coal prices remained unchanged at their previous levels amidst downward bias due to ample availability, they added.
