Aug 18: Spot prices of South African steam coal firmed up a bit on August 15 on reports that the crisis in Ukraine might affect coal supplies to some of the markets, sources said.
Traders increased their offers in anticipation that there would be some increase in demand for South African coal in view of the possible supply constraints from Ukraine, they said.
