Putting an end to a week-long bearish trend, South African standard coal prices inched up on January 20 as offers rose despite not much increase in actual bids, market sources said.
Prices of other origin coals largely remained unchanged during the day and there was practically no change in coking coal prices as well as freight rates, they said.
Following are the indicative prices of coal in various markets and indicative freight rates (Panamax vessels) on January 20:
