A weak trend prevailed in international coal markets on the last day of 2015, ie, on December 31, amidst continued absence of buyers and sellers while prices of almost all-origin coals declined a bit, market sources said.
A fresh trend is likely to emerge later this week as participants start coming back from the year-end holidays, they said.
Following are the indicative prices of coal in various markets and indicative freight rates (Panamax vessels) on December 31:
