January 9: Steam coal imports through the port of Dahej increased sharply to 250,014 tons in December 2014 from 26,000 tons in November, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
Imports in December comprised one consignment of 3,000 tons from Indonesia at a unit price of Rs 4,949 ($78), 54,997 tons from South Africa at a unit price of Rs 5,147 ($79-80) and 3,000 tons from other sources whose price could not be ascertained.
Imports in November comprised one consignment from Indonesia at a unit price of Rs 4,176 ($67).
