December 23: Steam coal imports through the port of Kakinada rose 33.80% to 121,737 tons in November 2014 against a volume of 90,984 tons in October 2014, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
Imports in November comprised 65,244 tons from Australia in a band of Rs 4,236 – Rs 4,319 ($68-70) and 56,493 tons from South Africa in a band of Rs 4,290 – Rs 4,697 ($69-76) per ton.
