Steam coal imports via Mormugao fall 16.01% in Dec m-o-m

January 10: Imports of non-coking (steam) coal via Mormugao port stood at 74,495 tons during the month of December, down 16.01% against 88,700 tons recorded during the previous month, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

However, in December 2012, non-coking coal imports via the port stood at nil.

In December 2013, the entire material came in from Australia at a price of Rs 8,241 ($132) per ton while during November, the entire material came in from Australia at a price of Rs 7,008 ($111) per ton.
