August 29: Strong demand was witnessed in July 2014 for G-12 grade (GCV 3,701 to 4,000 Kcal/kg) coal offered by SECL for allotment through the MSTC platform as the entire offered quantity of 30,000 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,438 per ton.
A similar strong demand was witnessed in June 2014 for G-12 grade coal offered by MCL and SECL for allotment through the MSTC platform as the entire offered quantity of 886,000 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,013 per ton.
While no coal of this grade was offered in May, a very strong demand was witnessed for this grade offered by two subsidiaries of CIL for allotment via the MSTC platform during April 2014 as the entire offered quantity of 1,175,000 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 1,561 per ton.
