October 31: Strong demand was seen for G-12 grade (GCV ranging from 3,701-4,000 Kcal/Kg) coal offered during September on the e-auction platform of MSTC as the entire offered quantity of 40,000 tons got allotted during the month at a weighted average price of Rs 3,021 per ton.
No such grade was offered in August.
However, strong demand was witnessed in July 2014 for this grade as the entire offered quantity of 30,000 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,438 per ton.
