September 26: High demand was witnessed for G-6 grade (GCV 5,501 to 5,800 Kcal/kg) coal offered by two subsidiaries of CIL in the month of August 2014 via e-auctions conducted on the MSTC platform as the full 15,200 tons of the offered quantity got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 4,738 per ton.
Very strong demand was also witnessed for the same grade in July 2014 as the full 30,000 tons of the offered quantity got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 4,103 per ton.
In fact, a similar strong demand was witnessed for the same grade of coal offered by four subsidiaries of CIL in the month of June 2014 via e-auctions conducted on the MSTC platform as the full 96,950 tons of the offered quantity got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 3,894 per ton.
