December 7: Strong demand was witnessed for G10 grade coal (GCV range of 4,301 - 4,600 Kcal/kg) offered by SECL and CCL for allocation through e-auction through coaljunction in November 2015, as out of the entire offering of 165,000 tons, 150,200 tons were allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 1,942 per ton, according to data available with ICMW.
However, no demand was witnessed for G10 grade coal offered by NCL and CCL for allocation through e-auction on coaljunction in October 2015, as there was no bid for the offered quantity of 315,000 tons.
In September, however, low demand was witnessed for 441,428 tons of G10 grade coal offered by WCL, NCL and CCL for allocation through e-auction on coaljunction as only 194,608 tons got allotted and the weighted average price was Rs 1,491 per ton.
