December 8: Strong demand was witnessed for G11 grade coal (GCV range 4,001 and 4,300 Kcal/kg) as out of 600,000 tons offered by CCL and SECL for sale through the e-auction platform of coaljunction in November 2015, as much as 515,560 tons got allotted an average weighted price of Rs 1,323, according to data available with ICMW.
However, moderate demand was witnessed for G11 grade in October, as out of 2,300,000 tons offered by CCL, MCL and SECL, as much as 1,154,550 tons were allotted at an average weighted price of Rs 999.
In September, only 70,000 tons of this grade of coal was offered of which 48,780 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 1,140 per ton.
