There was strong demand for 53,600 tons of G3 grade coal (GCV between 6,401 and 6,700 Kcal/kg) offered by South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL) and Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) for allotment through coaljunction in January 2016, as 43,060 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 4,347 per ton, as per data available with ICMW.
However, there was strong demand for 49,900 tons of G3 grade coal offered by ECL and CCL for allotment through coaljunction in December 2015, out of which 37,482 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 4,703 per ton.
There was nil demand for 10,000 tons of G3 grade coal offered by South Eastern Coalfields (SECL) for allotment through coaljunction in November 2015.
