December 10: A volume of 419 tons of met coke was imported via VO Chidambaranar Port (Tuticorin Port) in November 2015, up 2.20% from 410 tons imported in October 2015, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
For the first eight months (April-November) of the current fiscal (2015-16), met coke imports via this port stood at 3,774 tons while 222 tons had been imported in the same period of the previous fiscal (2014-15).

In November 2015, out of the entire volume of 419 tons, 304 tons came in from China at a price range of Rs 14,672-Rs 17,337 ($222-$260) per ton while import details of 115 tons were not available.
In October 2015, out of the entire volume of 410 tons, 36 tons came in from China at a price of Rs 15,674($240) per ton and import details of 374 tons were not available.
