December 7: Very poor demand was witnessed in the e-auction of G9 grade coal (GCV ranging between 4,601-4,900 Kcal/kg) on the coaljunction platform in November 2015 as out of the entire offering of 253,200 tons by CCL and WCL, only 9,340 tons were allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 1,942 per ton, according to data available with ICMW.
Low demand was witnessed in the e-auction of G9 grade on coaljunction in October 2015 as out of the entire offering of 301,350 tons by CCL and WCL, 136,230 tons were allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,449 per ton.
In September, fair demand was witnessed in the auction of this grade of coal as out of the entire offering of 293,400 tons by CCL and WCL, around 180,840 tons were allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,387 per ton.
