Very strong demand was witnessed in March 2016 for grade G13 (GCV 3,401 to 3,700 Kcal/kg) coal as out of the entire quantity of 1,100,000 tons offered on MSTC by CIL subsidiaries, 1,091,800 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 1,252 per ton, as per data available with ICMW.
However, there was no offer for G13 grade coal offered by CIL subsidiaries through the e-auction platform of MSTC in February 2016.
Like March, very strong demand was witnessed in January 2016 for grade G13 coal as the entire quantity of 485,000 tons offered by CIL subsidiaries got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 1,193 per ton.
