August 1: International coal prices softened further on July 31 amidst weak demand and indications that supplies from Ukraine and Russia to European countries may not be affected the way previously expected, market sources said.
Another round of price cuts announced by China’s leading coal miner also affected prices amidst the absence of demand from Indian and Chinese companies for imported coal, they said.
