Chattishgarh rolls out e-auction for mineral blocks

Chattishgarh has rolled out e-auction process
for nine new mineral blocks of lime stone, iron-ore and bauxite, according
information available from a pre-bid conference.
The auction includes four high quality
limestone blocks, two iron-ore blocks and three bauxite blocks.
The limestone blocks are situated in
Balodabazar, Surajpur, and Balrampur districts has average calcium oxide
content of over 42 percent and have a cumulative reserve of over 200 million
tons reserve, which could support 3-4 million tons per annum (mtpa) of
cement/clinker plant.
These blocks are situated near cement plants
and has good connectivity via rail and road and has the potential to generate
Rs 1,600 crore and create 3,000 jobs.
Further, the iron-ore
blocks are situated in Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai and three bauxite blocks
in Mainpat and Surguja.
