CIL dispatched 292 MT coal to power sectors; supply rises 23%

Coal India Limited dispatched 291.72 million tonne (MT) coal to the power sector which rises 22.7 percent in the first seven months of the ongoing fiscal year. The cabinet monthly report on coal supply shows the April-October dispatch of 237.75 MT of coal to the power sector.

According to the Ministry of Coal, the supply keeps increasing however, the Central Electricity Authority (CEA) report mentioned the coal stock with power plants stood at 9.028 Million Tonnes (MT) as on 26th October 20

Last month's supply goes up by 21.7 percent to 47.67 MT, over 39.17 MT. CIL pulling over the supply and trying to fuel output 1 Billion Tonne (BT) by 2024.
