Hindustan Power inks deal with UPPCL to set up 435 MW DC solar project

Hindustan Power has signed a
power purchase agreement with the Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd (UPPCL)
to establish a 435-megawatt direct current (MW DC) solar power project, the
company said in a statement.
According to the company, the
agreement includes supplying clean electricity to the state for 25 years. This project supports the Uttar Pradesh
government’s ambitious plan of achieving 22,000 MW of clean energy capacity by
FY27.
The solar project,
secured through a competitive bidding process in April 2025, will not only
provide sustainable energy but also create new employment opportunities,
contributing to the socio-economic development of the region.
