JSW Steel's crude steel production up 14% in Q1

JSW Steel has reported a 14 percent growth in consolidated
crude steel production during April-June quarter (Q1) of 2025-26 (FY26) at 7.26
million tons (mt), compared to 6.35 mt during the year-ago quarter, according
to a BSE filing.
On a quarter-on-quarter (q-o-q) basis, the company’s
consolidated crude steel production during Q1 FY26 was down by 5 percent as
compared to 7.63 mt during Q4 FY25.
Of the total crude steel
production, during Q1 FY26, the company’s crude steel production from Indian
operations stood at 7.02 mt, up by 15 percent as compared to 6.12 mt during the
year-ago quarter. Capacity utilisation at Indian operations stood at 87 percent
for Q1 FY26.
On a q-o-q basis, crude steel production by JSW Steel’s Indian operations
during Q1 FY26 was down by 5 percent as compared to 7.4 mt during Q4 FY25.
