NTPC completes trail operation of North Karanpura STPP

June 12: NTPC has declared the successful completion of trail operation of North Karanpura Super Thermal Power Project and consequently included in the installed capacity of the company, according to a BSE filing. “Based on achievement of approved norms and due approvals, Unit-3 of 660 megawatts (MW) capacity of North Karanpura Super Thermal Power Project, (3 x 660 MW) has successfully completed trial operation,” the company said in the filing. With this, the total installed capacity of NTPC on standalone and group basis has become 60,266 MW and 81,368 MW respectively.
