Revenue generated from commercial coal auction at Rs 4,718 cr till date

As on May 2025, an amount of Rs 4,718.37 crore has been received as revenue from commercial coal mines towards upfront amounts and monthly payments (excluding royalty, taxes, cess, and other statutory levies), informed Union Minister of Coal and Mines G Kishan Reddy in a written reply to Rajya Sabha.

Coal ministry has successfully auctioned a total of 124 coal blocks under the commercial coal mine auction policy.
